FAQ'S

WE'VE GOT YOUR HAIR COVERED

WHAT IS THE WAIT TIME TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

We recommend allowing 2-3 weeks to book your appointment to avoid missing out. We accept online bookings up to an hour before an available appointment time or feel free to contact us by phone, text or email for a last minute appointment in case we have a cancellation, we’ll always do our best to squeeze you in. We gotchu girl!

DO I NEED TO CONFIRM MY BOOKING?

Yes. We will send you a confirmation text message 4 days before your appointment which will give you the option to confirm. Unfortunately all appointments not confirmed within 48 hours of the booking time will be cancelled as we have a wait list. Don’t worry, we will give you a curtesy call before cancelling your appointment in case you missed the message (because we get it, life is crazy sometimes)

DO YOU OFFER KERATIN TREATMENTS?

No, unfortunately we don’t offer Keratin treatments at Aerial Studio. We are primarily a colour salon and sometimes Keratin and colour don’t mix. We can offer you some great referrals to our friends who do though!

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

We ask that you please arrive at least 5 minutes early for your appointment. Bring a book or your laptop (we have wifi available!) and peruse our drinks menu while you wait.

HOW LONG WILL MY APPOINTMENT TAKE?

All blow waves and hair cuts (including wash, treatment, style and cut) require 1 hour. Gloss/toner services (with or without cut) require 1.5 hours and base colour appointments require 2.5 hours. Please allow 3 hours for all balayage/half head services and 3.5 hours for full head colour services.

SHOULD I WASH MY HAIR DAY OF?

There’s no need to wash your hair the morning of your appointment, we’ve got that covered! All our services include a wash and style.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

Public Transport: Kensington station is literally on our doorstep! There are plenty of bus stops along Macaulay rd, and the Newmarket Plaza/Racecourse Rd tram stop is a 10 min walk.

Driving: there’s heaps of street parking available along Belair St, and there’s always a park along Macaulay road or in one of the many surrounding side streets on a busy day!

If you've got some time to kill... there are plenty of cafe’s nearby, our personal faves are Fruits of Passion and Premesis right next door!

There's also a lovely lil’ park on the corner to soak up some sunshine on a beautiful day.

Woolies and foodworks are also both within walking distance *checks to do list*.
